Things keep getting better after Marriage

I got drunk--
Asked a bartender for her number--
She gave it to me--
Finally went out with her--
Totally digged her--
She dug me too--
Dated--
Fell in Love--
Got engaged--
Got married--
Lived In freakin Hollywood--
Bought a house--
What the hell is next???? Man at this rate something really good is in store next. I can't imagine what.

Thank God I met Kayla. I got it really good. I only complain when I forget how fortunate I am. I'm not loaded with money but I have my wife. That was really really cheesy but oh well.

There are two things that I can't explain. 1) I do not want to come back to Texas. Yet.
2) I am going to make our back yard freakin sweet.

It's gonna be sad not being able to ride our bikes to the beach anymore. But we can walk to the lake.

Please help Keri find a home for her Dog.

Our puppy will finally has a place to run around other that the apartment. But she will not last long outside in the heat. She can't handler the 85 degree weather in southern California.

I think Kayla will miss Cedars Sinai.

I won't miss only hearing about the Dodgers. And stupid Angels. And very stupid Chargers. Oh and really stupid USC. However if you watch ESPN that's all they talk about anyway. But not quite as much as ALL the east coast team. Boy that was a ramble huh?

I'll miss wacthing Blcak Shirt Man everyday accross the street but won't miss the fear of him throwing his crate at me.

Man VS Food

Have you ever seen the Travel Channel show Man V Food? The Host, Adam Richman, visits restaurants all over the country and test out their best, largest, or scariest menu item. This could range anywhere from giant burritos, pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, hobenero hot wings, etc.

I honestly don't know who the host can devour some of the food because of it's massive size. I can do some pretty good eatin but I don't think I could hang. If it were my job I could do a little better. But besides the big time pig out sessions there are regular sized dishes that are amazing looking.

Me and Kayla's first glimpse of this show was live. We were visiting my wonderful friend Valorie Lott who lives in Memphis. She said we had to go to this chicken place called Gus's Chicken. So the 3 of us, hungover, went to eat some good ass chicken and the Travel Channel was filmin the intro of the show.

We didn't think much about it but long story short, they filmed Kayla eating some chicken. So blah blah we watched when it came on and it was fun to see us on the telly. But now i really love to watch the show and see what cool little place they visit next.

I was checkin it out about a few days ago and watched as they visited a little Mexican food place in East L.A. called El Tepeyac Cafe. It's home of the Manuel Special. This is a 5 lb burrito that is totally ridiculously large. But it's damn good. The owner is a nice old man who sometimes greets guest with a shot of tequila. Adam, the host of the show, finished the burrito like it was nothing. We wanted to check it out and see what the place was all about.

We ordered this big ass and when it was set on the table it was almost unbelievable. The picture above does it no justice. It looks 10 times bigger in person than picture. Amazing. We split it and did a nice job of tearing into the burrito. If we weren't headed to the beach and trying to not be a big fat ass I could have eatin a bit more. Oh yeah, it tasted awesome. It was soooo freakin good. It was pork with cheese, rice, guacamole, chile verde, and prolly some other good stuff.

We were waiting for our mammoth and I saw the owner behind me in the mirror. I noticed he looked at Kayla and she caught his eye. Sure enough he came over and sat dawn. He kissed her hand just like on the TV episode. He was so kind. He told her she looked like she was 16. I took my hat off and asked what about me. With no hesitation he said I looked like I was 80 just like him. We all giggled and before he left he asked us if we wanted a beer. Hell yeah!! So we got two beers at 11:30am for free. Yep. He is just a nice feller.

So, we left and went to the dog beach with Callie. Check the previous post. Damn. Now I I want to do is eat.

Cute Puppy VS The Ocean

Ok so our ridiculously cute dog Callie, made her first trip to the beach. She has never been in a swimming pool. The dreaded bath tub has been her only experience with water. She hate the Tub. There are a few dog beaches over here. I haven't found any that are very close to us but Long Beach is only about 30 miles away from where we are in Hollywood.

We made the drive south to the beach and settled in to our spot. Callie started off being on her leash because I wanted to make sure she was cool with the many others who were off leash. She was good to go. She was set free and and even did some wave jumping. Things were grand until she followed me out too far and was eaten by a small wave that was about to crash. It went about a foot over her head and made her face about an inch wide. It was pretty funny for us but not for her. After the face full of salt water she was done with the beach. All of the other dogs acted like they were in absolute paradise. They love the water.

There was every type of dog at this beach. The annoying dog, ugly dog, overweightdog, sissy dog, etc. The annoying dog actually trampled Kayla twice in about a span of 5 minute. I guess that is expected at that type of beach huh?

It's ok. We went back the very next day and gave Callie a second chance. She was a little better when it came to the water. She didn't get in it but at least got her feat wet. We'll take her again and I think she will get better with each trip. She seemed a little shy around the other dogs. The only other dogs she has been around she has been able to dominate. A strong 8 lb dog she is. But at the beach there are some intimidating dogs. She seemed shy. Either way it's pretty damn cute. We're looking forward to the next dog beach retreat.

This place was more than a club!

Well we did it fancy pantsy style on Thursday. There is a new club on Hollywood Blvd that opened called The Playhouse Hollywood . We were not on the list but yet we were on the list. Ah ha. Do you see? Our friend Greg knew one of the promoters and he gave us a name on the list at the door. Kayla's name was Kristina Melinchenko. It was soo something from a movie. We walked right past the losers standing in line and got right in with a fake name. It was great. I told Kayla to practice as we were walking there. We had to say the name of the promoter also. She did it perfect. "yeah we're on Todd's list. Kristina Melenchencko." Oh my gosh it was really really funny.

This club was insane. The drink menu was worse. There was a bottle of champagne that cost $12000. I promise there are not too many zeroes. I purchased two vodka redbulls and spent $20 bucks. That's really not much more than any bar in L.A. or Hollywood. Everything in this state is out of control.

One very interesting thing about this club was the many performers who were hanging and spinning from the ceiling. There were dudes and chicks both. There were regular dancers dressed in skimpy outfits, dudes hanging from cubes in dunce hats, chicks hanging and spinning from clothes as well as dudes spinning in just a little more than a speedo.

It was indeed opening night so there were a few DJ's who go to spin. The last one, with the most energy, was the worst. WAAAAAAY to loud and I didn't like the way he mixed. Oh well.

I'm really glad we went. I didn't know we were going anywhere that night so I super duper pigged out on our dinner and was possibly in the top 10 most full nights in my life. Did that make sense? I still enjoyed myself but wasn't able to drink many cold ones.

My buddy Greg told me that there were 3 owners who spent a total or 6 million to renovate the building and open the bar. It's like most buildings in Hollywood on the outside. It looks like trash on the inside. But damn they spent some Doe on the inside.

Kayla had a good time dancing and like I said I'm glad we went. However, I still prefer a bar with Beer, sports on several TVs, and hot wings, burgers, etc. So overall I rate the club very high but it's just not really my style. I'll gladly go again if you are buying the drinks. I'll go anytime

Randon Rambleness

Today is another day of kpLove. These days are always nice. Some better than others.

Black shirt man from across the street went nuts a few days ago. He was either really high or didn't take his medicine. I think he didn't take his medicine or didn't make enough cash to purchase the meds.

We saw dolphins hangin out very close to the shore yesterday at Santa Monica. There were two of them doing the things. Showing the backs and all.

I don't like June Gloom. It's always freakin cloudy and a Little bit chilly. However I spoke with my mother and she said it was 100 degrees in Texas and I'm not missin that at all. It's been in the 60's this week.

I registered with a casting company to be an "extra" or background actor. We shall see if I get a call or not. I think it would be pretty fun and exciting to see how movies and TV really work behind the scenes.

We went on a good hike the other day with The Moth Enlaw and Callie. Both were rather tired afterwards. Kayla and I were not. But it was still a good time.

Look at the picture above and check out how holly crappily hot my wife is. Daaaaaaaaayyng.

We drank bottomless red and white wine on Thursday night at an really neat restaurant below our apartments. With a nice young fellow playing the piano.

Damn I'm proud of the Rangers. I know there are still 102 mor 103 games left but at least they are making me think they are trying.

I paid $6 for a Miller Lite Thursday. I won't do it again. Stupid Lucky Strike.

You ever wonder why some people are so rude, nasty, or mean? I just don't get it. There are way to many of them out there. another thing that bothers me is people who are smart asses for no reason. Maybe only to make themselves feel good because they know deep down they are idiots.

I'm a teacher of love.

Oh So many Douche Bags. Douche's of Hollywood.

Douche seems to have over taken the word douche bag. It's just our lingo now. I want to know why so many dudes are douche bags. I discovered a new reason to drink beer. Go to a bar with the sole purpose of picking out douche bags and then analyze them. It's like when some females get together and watch the Miss America pageant or Miss Universe, etc. They love to talk about the ridiculous girls.

Douche's are everywhere. But if you want to know where they are way to overpopulated come to Hollywood. You can start right here at our apartments, Sunset & Vine, and go to town. I'm not saying I don't like it here. It's actually pretty incredible. This is an awesome experience Kayla and I are having together. You know what is awesome?? The amount of Douche Bags in this town. It may be worse than the Dallas $30,000 millionaires. Well, that may not be a good example. These Douche Bags do have money or there is no way they could afford to live here. Or could they? Are they extreme Douche's and have their parents pay the $2100 rent here? Either way, rich or not, the Douche thrives in this environment.

I don't have any pics right now but I really need to get some. It is certainly not hard to do . It would be cool to see a street rumble between the Douche's and the Homeless People.

There are some who believe there are female Douche Bag's. Also refereed to as the Douche Baguette. I'm not sure of my opinion on this. I think we should just stick to the other word for the chics.

Long Live the Douche. They will never go away. Just don't let them beat you down. It's not worth it.

I'm a wild Animal

Not really. I've noticed that as I've grown older I have calmed down. But I think I know what would get me back to the animal stage.

I blew out a pair or underwear the other day. I wold love to put it on this blog but I can't. Maybe someday.

Kayla sent me a text today and said her panties were on backwards today.

We finally heard the guy in the black shirt that sits across the street speak. He has a very kind and pleasant voice.

I shaved handle bars on my face a while back and it looked incredible.

Can't believe how huge out dog is now. 8.5 pounds.

Dayng...D Howard just dunked the crap out of the ball.

It's really amazing how f'ed up California is right now. The state is in such a huge deficit. Closing parks? Serious. They want to close 220 out of 279 parks in the state. Is it Arnold's fault? It has to be. Everyone blames Bush for the way things are in the U.S....So yes I blame Arnold for the awful awful state of this state.

I like the esurance cartoon chic that plays the tambourine.

I love my bike. but I'm always nervous when we ride down Sunset or Santa Monica. There are tons of bike riders but I'm always thinking about that one person that's not paying attention and runs me over.

It's weird to me that ESPN shows the spelling cometition.

The Labron and Kobe puppet commercials are pretty good. I love the way they made their noses look. Labron's is just a ball and Kobe has a long pointy nose. Funny to me. Funny to me indeed!

I think there are a lot of comedians that are not funny. They even have their own comedy central show but they never make me laugh. Actually there are only a few that make me laugh. So many are predictable and just not that funny.

I used to not like Hedo Turkey Glue but now I'm rooting for him and his team.

EARTHQUAKE!!I

Crap. We felt the earthquake last night. A 4.7. It was cuuuurrraaaazzyy. It felt like some one was under the bed kicking it. The TV starting dancing on it's own. It was so freaky. Neither of us knew what the heck was goin on. Spooky stuff.

I can't and don't want to imagine what a big one feels like and the damage that it brings. There were some broken windows over in Ingelwood. I don't even know what else to say except that it felt so damn weird.

The last time we lived in California there was a small quake but we didn't know until hearing people talk about it. But i didn't expect to feel it like this in Hollywood.

Fish and Chips

Hey. I made fish and chips last night and it was wonderful. I actually made a batter that tasted good. I'm so proud.

Our puppy is tired. We went on a walk. It was a pretty solid walk for her tiny legs. However she is a trooper and can just keep on goin.

The Rangers have now won 7 in a row. 4 1/2 games ahead of second place LA. This is not a jinx. It's just fun to watch them when they are descent.

I found this red wine that I really like called Bay bridge. It's a Clifornia Cabernet Sauvingon. Get this. A bottle cost less than 3 bucks. AND it was on sale the other day for $1.79. I like. That's all that matters.

I fianally figured out how to air up the tires on my bike. They have a really fruity valve.

I lost two punds and I'm really glad. I need to lose about 12 more.

I feel bad for the dogs at Runyan Canyon that don't have any water. I know they are thirsty. I also feel bad for the people who have lost their dogs. It's sad.

Hillary Duff is on tv from 4 years ago and she looks normal. She looks too skinny these days.

Lucie has realy straight whiskers.

I haven't seen black shirt man from across the street at all today. Odd.

Hollywood

Yes we now live in Hollywood. This place is nuts. It's exactly what I expected but it's still so different than anywhere we have ever lived before. We lived in the Valley months ago and it's kinda the same but not really. Did that make sense?

I think the difference is two things. Hollywood has way too many homeless people and way too many fake people. Or the $30,000 millionaires. The people who make regular money but want other people to think they make a ton of money. Ah the $30,000 millionaire cracks me up. They probably spend all their money on their apartment because nothing here is cheap. Seriously. Nothing. However, I think the $30,000 millionaire people are in every city. I know they are all over Dallas. There are a lot of kids living in those new downtown high rise apartments that don't need to be. But you know....whatever makes your boat stay above water.

We live right across the street from CNN. I guess it's where Larry King does his show. I passed the CBS building on the way back from dropping off Kayla. There a ton of shows filmed there. We passed the House Of Blue's Sunset yesterday. It looks neato. It reminds me a Joe's Crab Shack.

Here is a breakdown. Hollywood is cool, dirty, scary, rich, poor, regular, and our temporary home for a while. Can't wait for Kayla to get noticed. She will be the newest Rachael Ray type. I feel it.

Oh man. Cedar Sinai is freakin Massive. It would be sooo easy to get lost in there. It is ridiculously huge. But I'm so happy for my honey. This will look awesome on her resume. I gotta go.

Sunset Blvd-Our new Home

Well, well, well. We are movin on up.... to the West Side. To a delux apartment on Sunset Blvd. For real. Right smack dab in the middle of Hollywood. The good part. Not the bad or scary part of Hollywood. I'd say we are pretty excited about our new temporary home even though we had no intentions of going back to Southern California. Unless it was San Diego. Oh well. Cedar Sinai will change that pretty quick. This is how someone will finally discover Kayla. She will be the nurse of some big shot and they will talk. Then he will say she has a look. Then he will say here is my card. Then she will contact his company and boom. I still say she needs a cooking show. She can cook with the best.

If you are intersted then follow this link and you will see our place:

We really didn't do half as much exploring as we would have liked when we lived in Woodland Hills. Now we will be so close to everything that we can walk or even ride our new bikes. We are only a 4 miles away from Cedar Sinai so Kayla will have a short drive or ride to work. I really wish I could find a gig at the hospital.

Griffith Park is only a few miles away also. It's a massive park and is where the Hollywood sign is located. The park seriously is huge. It's a super cool park. I don't mean the little park down the road that has a basketball goal and a baseball backstop. This is big time.

If the neighbors above us can be less quiet than the people in San Antonio and the Airplanes that fly directly over our house, all will be good. As my woman says, TTFN!!

Vlogging

Think I'm gonna bust up a Vlog soon. it's easier than typing and with my short attention span I can ramble off way more words that if I were typing. See? I already forgot what I was gonna type about next. Poop fire.

Some times the ole brain just gets old. Like my body. The last couple of days have been hard for me getting out of the car. I feel like a 130 year old man who has fake legs. I need new legs. "Lieutenant Dan, you got new Legs." (Forest Gump) Actually it's my ankles. Kayla looks at me like I am a fool bit they feel achy and stiff. I
can handle it though for now. Whoa is me.

I'm ready to go back to Hollywood. I want to go to the beach. I want to go to more places that we didn't go the first time. Plus, Crap Antonio just ain't doin it for us. We love us some Plano. Mm Mm good.

My wife is on her way home and that makes me happy. happy like Gilmore. You just don't understand how much we really like to hang out with each other.

So long. Lake, Big Lake.

5 Songs

Callie has a good voice huh? She is good at introducing. This is a glorious song called Shut that Quack Duck. It's very rough but has the potential to be huge.

This song is called Spiraling. Kayla is much more talented than me when it comes to song writing. I am better at just being a fool.

This wonderful song is called Squeeze Me. It's awesome.

This song is called Wwoo Wwoo Wwoo. It may be as Rad as they come.

This song is called Pank Thang. I saw Callie's squeaky thing and decided to sing about it.

Um...I've been Busy

I haven't written in this blog in a while. I've been doing some other things. For anyone who doesn't know we now live in San Antonio. Yes we traveled to Texas. That was not in the plans but it will work out. There are weddings and party's we must attend and now we have saved money on airline tickets haven't we? Yes we have. We live in the tiniest apartment in the world but it's kinda cute and still free. Lucie is so much happier here than in California. She hated it there. It's really amazing how different she is since we moved. I can't really decide on when I need to start a new paragraph with this one. It's a bit of a ramble.

I had lunch with my travel nurse today and it was wonderful. Except that I kept hitting my elbow on the chair next to me.

They don't have corner Bakeries here and it is unacceptable. Very. So I had to do with Panera Bread which offers no comparison to the Corner. I love that place. CB rulz.

I really hope New Hampshire is in our plans for May. Summer in New England would be nice. That fool Boswell lives in Vermont so we could see him. I know he will be in that area for the rest of his life.

Southern California Ski Mountains?

Hey. Who knew? Maybe you did but i did not. I really didn't know that there were so many mountains to snow ski on in Southern California. We live 15 miles from the beach. We live 60 miles from a mountain where you can ski!! I think that is scrazy. Yes scrazy. Can you snow ski 60 miles from Galvaston? No wu-hay jose.

We wanted to go to Pink's famous Hot Dogs a few weeks ago. It is a Hollywood Legend since 1939. I would have loved to have gone but the line wrapped around the building about 14 times. I just didn't think it was worth it.

Pimp

Yes I am. Who cold say that I'm not with this awesmlo picture. I know. It rocks. Can't sleep so I'm tossing in another blog. A shorty. Mrs. Doubtfire is really a good movie. I didn't realize it was 16 years old. That's the same amount of time that I have been out of high school. Sad. I think I'm ready to post a new video. I'm going to make a music video. I can't imagine if I was chocking. A peice of meat or anything. That would be a terrible feeling.

Dec. 31st

Hey. It's new Years eve. I'll be watching it on TV. Gonna stay at home cause the wife works. I don't wanna do anything anyway. I'd prefer a good ole family new years with my peeps in the 35. I just read that Charles Barkely was arrested for a DUI. He refused a breathe test thing. That can really only mean one thing. I'm working on a new blog. It is much more professional looking and the content is different. I'll tell you about it later. The mavs are now 19-12 after starting the season 2-7. They are only a game and a half out of first place. Good deal. I have a lot of cleaning to do today. We are out of paper towels. Oh, my woman bought us some ski's. this will avoid hassle for the rest of our lives. No more renting ski's and boots and cheap polls. Stinky boots who thousands of other people have worn before. Grossness to the max. Ooh dat is nasty. We are not sure where we are going to live next month. I'm still hoping for Denver but we may have to accept somewhere else. But it's ok. We shall go where we go and like it. So far so good. I really think the place we go will only get better. That's what I say.

Our first Visit

I have to do a better job with my body allowing the Christmas spirit inside. I think getting a tree wold help. We have to get a real one because a artificial tree would take up more space when we move. We don't need that. We need a dolly. I borrowed a dolly of the movers that moved in our furniture and it saved my life. It's why I'm alive to type this entry. I owe those dudes.

I'm a little jealous of Texas right now. I see it's a bit chilly there. But as always it will be back to 70 in no time. It's snowing in the Mountains in Cali. It's too bad there aren't any Mountains in Big D. I like L.A. but I almost can't wait to go to the next spot.
the picture above is the nerd that's coming to visit this weekend. That's Amanda. She may not be too thrilled with the photo I posted. But Inoevencaradow. We have an excellent surprise for anyone who would like a Christmas Gift from us. The present will follow in a the next post. Good day all!!!

Undecided Title

Hey. My travel nurse is working today and I am blogging. I watched a football game on Sunday where one team decided they would prefer to lose instead of win. It was extremely unprofessional and totally disgusting. The team asked the opposing team if they would like to win and the opposing team said of course we would....You beat us up today so we just assumed we were going to lose. Thank you so much. Are you stupid or somethin? Not even Forrest Gump was as stupid as the charity football team on Sunday. That's all I have to type about thayat.
I'm going to have lunch with my travel nurse again today. I visited her on Saturday and is was lovely. Something I do not understand...Or maybe I do is: I feel that many many people (unhappily married) are jealous of the relationship that other married couples (happily married) have. If I take my travel nurse lunch it's because I want to see her. I will do the same exact thing 10 years from now. I don't take her lunch because we have only been married for 3 months. For people to say, "Oh well he won't bring you lunch for ever. He's only doing it because yall are still fresh" is oh so silly to say. I say those people wish they had a husband who would bring them lunch. Maybe I should take them lunch too. That wold be a good dead. It would be like a meals on wheels for nurses who need a hug.
Amanda is coming this week. I'm glad. I want people to know where we are living and see parts of our travel experiences. My travel nurse and I are going to go to Cat's studio this week and record a few songs. I'm really excited. We haven't been to the studio since we recorded the Bridal March song for our weeding.
I thought I would share a video that makes me smile. It is from Emily's birthday party last year I believe. The funny thing is that she looks so embarrassed because of cameras and the fact that people are singing to her. She even decides to go underneath the table. Lol.
